Watch Out!

Starting November 20th, Jay-Z will be partnering with Barney's New York for a holiday collection that will find itself flying off shelves...if the mega rich have anything to say about it.  As part of the collection, Jay-Z will be teaming up with the legendary timepiece company, Hublot (The company Jay-Z name drops in "Otis").  The wrist watches will come in two editions: black ceramic and 18k gold.  The watches are definitely works of art (What else would you expect from Mr. Carter?!), but those price tags are too rich for my blood.  If you want to get your hands on one of these guys, you'll have to be ready and willing to shell out $17,900 for the black ceramic and $33,900.  Wow!! At those prices, it's definitely going to be a Christmas miracle if you get your hands on one of these babies.  In the mean time, here are pics to add to your mental Wish List.

Not to be outdone, King James has also designed a watch.  This one comes in at an unreasonable $51,500 and can be snapped up in South Beach.  South Beach?  $51,500?  Yeah, that's a pro ball player's life for you....

The drama.  The suspense.  The down payment on a house.

Dapper Dan Man

No one says hip-hop has to be all about looking like you'd fit in if you found yourself hanging out with the guys around the block.  Yes, 'urban' wear has its place in hip-hop culture.  Yes, there are still certain looks that are hallmarks of the hip-hop lifestyle, but it's also important for men to understand that there is another look that works just as well.  It's the GQ look.  Many rappers today are flipping through the pages of the latest issue, poring over pages of wardrobe inspiration and finding sneaky ways to update their looks, infusing more of the Dapper Dan look into their everyday wear.  Visions of Kanye West in Paris are dancing through my head right now, but for a better feel of what I mean, look to the pictures of GQ's latest photo shoot with Big Sean.  If you like what you see and you're feeling inspired, give it a shot.  You never know...this could be your new look.

"Lonely Thoughts"

This song was originally released on Rapsody's She Got Game mixtape, but it's worth taking another listen to if you're a Big K.R.I.T. fan.

My favorite line comes from Chance the Rapper: "They're sayin' 'Acid' is an album, retail it/But I got way too much soul to sell it'.  Take a listen.

Wu Tang Does Bike Week

OK, so maybe the guys aren't really doing bike week, but it sounds more plausible than what they've actually done.  To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), the guys have teamed up with State Bicycle Co. to produce a limited edition bicycle.  Yes, a bicycle.  Hey, can't knock the hustle!

See, it really exists!!

SneakerHeads Unite!!

So, everybody (or mostly everybody) has been talking about A$AP Rocky's sneaker collaboration with Jeremy Scott.  Well, talk no more.  You can see for yourself.  On September 7th, during New York Fashion Week, the pair officially debuted the remix of Jeremy Scott's iconic winged Adidas sneaker in front of the fashion world's finest.  The sneakers feature a more hip-hop edge, including an all-black colorway and the split American flag image that A$AP's LONG.LIVE.A$AP. album cover.  I'm not much of a sneaker hound myself, but I'd be willing to test 'em out.

The design duo

This season's black and white trend works for sneakers, too.

All black, all day

My, My Macklemore

I am slightly obsessed with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis right now.  They are undoubtedly (in my very humble opinion) one of the most talented duos out there right now.  Questioning my sanity?  Listen to The Heist front to back and get back to me.  While I'm totally pro-Macklemore off the strength and ballziness (that's a word, right?) of "Same Love" alone, as soon as I listened to "Jimmy Iovine" I was hooked.  Hush!  Just listen.

Beanie Man

Since this blog was started in the name of the one and only Wale, it's only fitting that I proudly announce that the man himself is launching a line, Wrkng Title, that will fill a void that Wale holds near and dear to his heart.  Looking for the perfect beanie?  Wale's got it.  Just ask J. Cole and Jourdan Dunn.  I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to seeing what he's got up his sleeve...or under his cap...

The designer...
...and his wares.
